D4N LTD ("we", "us", "our") operates the StandbyCalc mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use StandbyCalc.
Data We Collect
StandbyCalc is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:
- No account required. You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use StandbyCalc.
- Local storage only. All calculations, settings, and data you enter (engineer name, company name, site details) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- iCloud sync (optional, Pro only). If you enable iCloud sync, your saved calculations are synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob. The free version of StandbyCalc displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data in accordance with their privacy policy, including device identifiers for ad personalisation. Pro users do not see ads, and no ad-related data is collected for Pro users.

Apple StoreKit. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply to all transactions.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number
- We do not collect location data
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs (other than AdMob for free users)
- We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties
- We do not store any data on our servers
Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Saved battery calculations (inputs, results, site details)
- Settings (engineer name, company name, contact details, preferences)
- Company logo (if uploaded, stored in the app's local documents directory)
Children's Privacy
StandbyCalc is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require any personal information to function.
Your Rights (UK GDPR)
As a UK-based company, we comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation. Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. All your data is stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account (if sync is enabled), and is under your control.
You can delete all app data by uninstalling StandbyCalc from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
