How do I log eggs?

Tap the + or - buttons on the Today screen to adjust your daily count. You can also assign eggs to individual hens by tapping the hen assignment link below the counter.

How do I add a hen?

Go to the Hens tab and tap the + button. Enter a name, select a breed, and optionally add a hatch date and notes. You can add a photo and health records later.

What is the incubation tracker?

The Hatch tab lets you create incubation batches and track the 21-day incubation cycle. It shows milestones (first candle at day 7, second candle at day 14, lockdown at day 18, hatch day at day 21) and lets you log temperature, humidity, and individual egg status.

What does Pro include?

Laylo Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited hens (free tier supports 3), iCloud sync across devices, CSV export, custom reminders, per-hen egg attribution, full incubation log history, and extended health logging. Core features — daily egg logging, flock management, health tracking, and incubation — are free and always will be.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. If you enable iCloud sync (Pro), your data syncs across your devices via your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your data.

Why does Laylo request my location?

Location is used to calculate sunrise and sunset times for your area. This powers the farmyard day/night scene and helps suggest optimal reminder times for egg collection and coop lockup. Location data stays on your device.

Can I track health records for my hens?

Yes. The Health tab lets you record treatments, supplements, observations, and weight checks for individual hens or your whole flock. Each entry includes a date and optional notes.
