The whole log book, in your pocket

Light register

Record every luminaire and lit sign with its reference, area, location, mode, supply type, rated duration and Group A or B. Add a classification code if you use one.

Monthly flick test on one screen

Tick through every light as Pass, Fail or Not accessible, or mark all the remaining lights as Pass in one tap. A failed light opens a failure for you.

Annual full-duration test

Test the whole building, or split it into two halves (A and B). A whole-building annual test also counts as that month’s monthly test. A recharge helper shows when the batteries should be ready.

Failures and retests

Record the action taken and any temporary measures. A battery or luminaire replacement sets up a full-duration retest, and a passing retest closes the failure.

Annual cover at a glance

The dashboard shows the next monthly test due, how many lights were tested in the last 12 months, and your open failures. Lights marked Not accessible show as a gap.

Everything else the log needs

Service visits, alterations to the system, photometric checks, central indicator faults, shutdown or recommissioning, and other events, with a record for central battery systems.

PDF log book

Your register, monthly and annual tests, failures and retests, and events, on A4 landscape tables. Keeps the records BS 5266-1 recommends. Share, print or save to Files.

Signed, with reminders

Every entry is signed by typing a name, and edits are marked as edited on the PDF. Reminders for monthly and annual tests are scheduled by the app.

Based on BS 5266-1

ExitPath helps you keep the records BS 5266-1 recommends for emergency lighting systems. It is a record-keeping tool: it does not test, inspect or sign off a system, and it does not replace the periodic inspection and test certificate from your emergency lighting engineer.

BS 5266-1 is a British Standard published by BSI. ExitPath is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by BSI.
